Transaction codes


Transaction codes :
  • Total 11000 predefined application have with each application a particular name so it is difficult to remember all the 11000 application names so SAP has given a transaction code for each application.
  • which are used to directly interact with a ABAP objects.
  • SE Stands for System Engineering

Repository Browsers          :       SE 80              
ABAP Dictionary              :       SE 11                           we can give this code in left
ABAP Editor                     :       SE 38               side corner of the screen then
Function Builder                 :       SE 37               press enter to directly interact with them
Screen painter                   :       SE 51
Menu painter                     :       SE 41

1.      Name as many SAP Transactions as possible you are familiar with?
Ans. : SE38 -  ABAP editor ,  SE80 – Object Browser ,  SE36 – logical databases
           SE11 – ABAP data dictionary  & SE16                SE37 – Function Module

Naming conventions : SAP R/3, user Y (or) Z letters to start name and remaining letters are reserved (why Y or Z means it is user defined)
